Some days are bright, some days are dark, and some days are pastel. This was a pastel day on the path leaving the dunes at Gazos Creek and entering the long sandy beach on an overcast late afternoon in July. A pelican is spreading its wings at the edge of the creek making its way to the surf through the sand.
