DONG Energy Signs
Production Order
with POWRtec
DONG, the Danish Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, is the new name of NESA and the several other previously independent energy companies within Denmark . Dong is a world leader in energy production from all sources including wind, solar, tidal, nuclear, and North Sea oil drilling, as well as the commercial distribution of energy to industry and residential consumers.
DONG has signed the final production order with POWRtec for one million Smart Read 3-phase electric revenue meters to be installed through 2009. This meter and the earlier framework agreements are part of the process developed in partnership between POWRtec and NESA, the predecessor to DONG, the new merged energy corporation of Denmark .
